Do Not Dispense (DND) | The number of days, before expiration, that the lot can no longer be dispensed at a site. This is commonly used when your drug product needs to have a minimum expiration time as of being dispensed.
For example, a drug product is a tablet taken daily over the course of a month by the participant, so the drug product must be dispense at least a month before the product's expiration date.
Bluefin will only recommend shipments which allow dug products to be dispensed before this DND cutoff. A value of 0 allows drug products to be dispensed up until the expiration date on the corresponding lot. |
Do Not Count (DNC) | The number of days, before expiration, that the lot should be considered as part of a site's inventory. This controls how early resupply may occur. Drug products marked as DNC will still be dispensed up until the products expire or are marked as DND.
Bluefin will recommend shipping drug products earlier to ensure enough product exists at the sites as predicted by forecasting. |
Do Not Ship (DNS) | The number of days, before expiration, that the lot at a depot is restricted from being shipment to a site. DNS has no impact on drug products already at a site. |
DNS/DNC/DND values impact the lot recommendation algorithm separately for each individual part for each scenario. Once recommended lots are accepted, the generated lots will have the same DNS/DNC/DND values.
DNS/DNC/DND values apply to all items within a lot.
